What! It's not Tuesday or Friday? *gasp* Darn it, it should be! Sorry, stayed up too late last night reading. One of my authors is Betty Neels and that is what I was reading. Of course, I knit until after 10pm, so the fact that it was a few minutes after midnight when I turned off my light is no surprise to me.
I decided to pare down the office Christmas presents. (Sorry Ladies) I just don't have the time or money to make sure that I don't leave anyone out so the list will be cut nearly in half. The good part of this is that that means that I have less projects to get done by my deadline. Plus I have other projects that I want to be finished before I go to Illinois for the holidays. (Chemo caps to be donated.) Luckily, I can make one in a couple hours. I have made 2 of the 12 that I purchased material for so I have a ways to go. I want to be able to deliver at least half of them before Christmas. What ever I don't finish, I will probably take to knit in transit to be delivered when I get back. I need to make sure that I have plenty of little project to take home and knit. Idle hands and all that..... Luckily I have several projects that will fall into this category.

My First wheel!!!
Yeaaaaaaaa!
I am now the proud owner of a Louet s10 spinning wheel. (Doing the happy dance!) I am going to practice tonight or tomorrow before I go to the spin Saturday, so's n I don't look like a fool. (But I am a happy fool.) It is sitting in my vehicular right now.........
Embarrassing moment: I was buckling it in the back seat so it wouldn't shift when I stop. I went to back out (or look up or something) and I hit my face on the bottom corner of the flyer brace. Boy, do I have a headache. So those that see me tomorrow, if I have a black eye......my new spinning wheel attacked me.
Whoa, I just had major deja vu. Not the getting of the wheel but the hitting of the face on the bottom corner of the brace.
....I must get back to work now.

A break in the whirlwind
Whew!!! The last couple of weeks have been hectic to say the least. I promise, I will get some pics up soon. I do have a picture of one of my sweaters being modeled that I can post.
Last weekend I took part in the Tucson Celtic festival. The weekend before that it was the Tucson Fiber Festival. That's not to mention work, a Saterday meeting, various days giving training (12+ hr days), and flying to San Diego last Thursday for training and getting back Friday night after an 11 day in class. I'm glad of the down time for the next few weeks.
For pics of the two festivals see: http://www.uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com she's got some amazing stuff. To see more of what I have done, if you are on Ravelry my id is druidminer.
